Frequently asked questions.

Can I use my health insurance to pay for sessions?

I am currently not paneled with any insurance companies. However, I am happy to provide you with a superbill for you to get reimbursed from your insurance if you have out of network benefits.

How long are sessions?

Sessions are typically held on a weekly basis for 50 minutes. However, there may be times when it may be clinically necessary for us to meet more frequently for a short period of time, if this is the case, we will discuss it together.

How much do you charge per session?

My standard rate is $250. I also have a limited number of sliding scale spots available. Feel free to contact me to inquire about these.

What can I expect from my first appointment?

Many people feel nervous about meeting with their therapist for the first time, especially if it’s their first time ever in treatment. My main priority is to establish a safe space for you to begin sharing your story, your hopes for therapy, and for you to determine whether you can trust me with supporting you through your healing journey. I invite you to pay attention to how you feel with me, and to ask questions as you and I determine whether we are a good fit.

Given COVID-19 restrictions, how are you meeting with clients?

At the moment, I am only meeting with clients virtually. I hope to be able to offer in-person sessions as soon as it is safe for us both.

What is your cancellation policy?

I require 48 hours notice for any cancellations and/or to reschedule your appointment. An occasional exception may be made for emergencies, but it is imperative that we meet consistently in order to make progress.
